Resumen
Sobre mí
I took temporary ordination as a Tibetan Buddhist nun and lived at Gampo Abbey on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia October 2019 to June 2023. Since leaving the abbey I've been doing long retreats and traveling in the US and now in Southeast Asia since June 2023. I did a two month Tibetan language intensive in the summer and have been volunteering at a Tibetan Buddhist nunnery for fall 2023. (I've been doing their social media, feel free to check it out: https://www.instagram.com/dglnunnery/)
I also have a coaching practice which you can check out here and get a good sense of my values: elizabethjcooper.com
This is my profile from the 7 years I lived in San Francisco: I'm an artist in San Francisco, where I moved after college to explore spirituality, sexuality and art. I live in a 13 person queer coop where we host folks from all over the country and world often! I support artists with marketing, development and production. I produce a performance art festival about sexuality, now in its sixth year, and also performed in it last year. Check it out here: www.thisiswhatiwantfestival.com.
I used to be relatively active on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/elizabeth.cooper.35

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I grew up informally Couchsurfing in that I grew up overseas, sharing and experiencing life in and with a lot of different cultures.
Officially on Couchsurfing, I stayed at a few people's places and went to the Paris CouchSurfing weekend in the summer of 2009 as I backpacked through Europe. Back in the States I've semi-hosted and helped out a few people through the site but have been more hosting informally, particularly while living in my collective home.

Algo increíble que he hecho
I lived in a Buddhist Monastery and Nunnery in India in 2011 and temporarily ordained as a Buddhist nun - one of the best experiences of my life. Ask me about it - I could talk about it forever!
Enseña, aprende, comparte
My current love is mostly of meditation and Buddhism, but I also have a background with yoga and photography that I could share.
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
I can guide meditation, cook vegetarian food, and generally laugh and be merry with you :)
