I am a recently graduated student doing the typical identity crisis-management via backpacking Europe thing. Despite the cliche there, I am very excited to set forth after studying in Scotland for the past four years. I always said I would take every other long weekend to see different countries, but then I had uni and a part time job, so you know, life got in the way of living. I'm happy to say that now, however, I am finally on my way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I am on a rather tight budget of a bartender's zero-hours contract savings, Couchsurfing seemed like a decent and affordable option. I'm hoping to find some friendly hosts who can maybe direct me towards different local sights and activities and most of all give me a place to hang my hat for a few days.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music just about, from metal to motown - some of my favorites artists are Kurt Vile, Leon Bridges, Ray Charles, Hozier, Steely Dan, The Kinks, Lianne La Havas, Peaches, The Avett Brothers, Wild Child, etc.

As a film major I of course have a short list of my favourite films like The Lives of Others, Vertigo, City of God, The 400 Blows, Withnail and I, etc;

My favourite book is Jane Eyre and some of my favourite authors and poets are F. Scott Fitzgerald, Elizabeth Bishop, Jo Shapcott, George Orwell, David Foster Wallace, Rainer Rilke, etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will be travelling alone so there's no need to worry about my friends and I making a ruckus at 3 AM or anything like that. I am absolutely willing to help with cleaning or cooking or any other household jobs while I am staying. I also cook a very decent omelette if that's of any interest.
