About Me
Hello!
I'm Eliza. My partner Kacper and I are looking to stay at some friendly hosts' homes during our roadtrip around Ireland at the start of April. We live in Warsaw, Poland, and we'd love to host anyone who is passing by our neck of the woods too:) We are new to Couchsurfing so any tips would be welcome.
Eliza: I'm Polish-English, grew up in Brussels. I'm a history masters student in Warsaw. Ex-journalist. Passionate about media literacy and developing alternative news platforms to the mainstream, colonial, corporate media. Sometimes engaged in political mobilising. I love playing the violin, hiking, adore cooking.
Kacper: I'm Polish, born and raised in Warsaw. I'm a sound engineer by trade, musician by heart and a philosopher by education. I produce audiobooks for a living, play a couple of instruments and write songs and lyrics in the rare moments when inspiration hits. A lot of topics deeply fascinate me, so I enjoy conversations quite a bit, but not to a point where I'm overly chattering - I like listening and silence just as much. I try to meditate daily, practice yoga every so often, but still am a humorous being and fun to be around. Sometimes antisocial, always antifascist.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Eliza: I signed up to Workaway when I was travelling around Chile and Mexico in 2023 and I loved working and living with locals - hands down best way to travel.
We love to host people at our place in Warsaw. We've hosted strangers from other countries (Palestine, Cyprus, Canada, UK) before in our spare room (friends of friends we've never met) who became really close friends to us by the end of their stay.
