About Me

I work so hard that every set of holidays I have this desire to run free...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For me, nada, but I have wonderful friends who have wandered all over the world meeting super (and a few odd) people via CouchSurfing. And I once read a book by Brian Thacker about couchsurfing on every continent.

Interests

EVERYTHING!
Being Australian we spend a lot of time outside (although the weather in Tasmania is questionable...). I run and mountain bike, try to get to the ocean once a week, daydream a lot, study to be a paramedic, daydreaming (a bit more), asking questions, teaching, learning languages, going to music festivals, reading anything I can get my hands on, watch the world with keen interest

Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2014 I hit Beirut (Lebanon) for two months to hang out with a friend. I ended up teaching english to Palestinian women in a refugee camp where no one spoke French and I didn't speak Arabic...

I was also lucky enough to go to the Czech Republic just as they had been given permission to join the EU but nothing had really clocked over yet so it was this beautiful not-quite-so-eastern-bloc city brimming with possibilities and people dying to speak english. It was the first non-English speaking place I had ever been and I had just turned 19 so everything was vaguely terrifying but always adventurous.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to change career paths in the blink of an eye. I can't teach you how to tell your parents though, haven't mastered that yet ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm pretty good at first aid....

Countries I’ve Visited
