I was born in northern Illinois but moved to Phoenix when I was six years old. We moved around quite a bit while living in the Valley, and when I graduated high school, my family moved to northern California while I stayed behind for college. After graduation, I moved to Memphis for whiskey, blues, and ultimately, adventure, which ended up being six years of exploring life in the south. I am currently living in northern California (the same state as my family in ten years!), pursuing writing and preparing for graduate school applications. What better way to prepare than to travel as much as possible, thus having amazing adventures to write about?!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I am about to embark on a European adventure at the beginning of June. I start out with a two-week writing retreat near Rome, but plan to continue on by myself for another couple of weeks. I am looking to meet locals in different cities who can show me what life is really like in various countries overseas!

Creativity in general. Adventure. Making the most out of the infinitesimally small amount of time that we all have to be alive.

Música, películas y libros

I can appreciate it all, but some of my favorite bands are The Black Crowes, The Rolling Stones, and The Black Keys. I have grown to appreciate Elton John, The Ramones, and Fleetwood Mac more and more as I get older. I love Charles Bukowski, Tom Wolfe, Sylvia Plath, and more recently, David Sedaris and Kim Addonizio. As far as movies go, I am geared toward anything that will make my cheeks hurt from laughing for two hours.

I have lived and traveled all throughout the United States, which has given me a pretty diverse outlook thus far. I will be traveling with plenty of books that I am willing to share, and am always willing to be a part of creative collaboration. Plus, I can make some tasty cocktails with limited resources.
