On our Farm we have many animals including horses,barking dogs,cats,poultry and goat.

We are a farm in a beautiful secluded part of the Alentejo, close to a lovely fresh water lake.
There are 3 parts to our farm work :
1. REGULAR tasks such as feeding dogs,cats,horses,other animals tending to all their needs;
DIGGING;PLANTING;WEEDING WATER THE VEGETABLE GARDEN; keeping the farm strimmed,fences good,waterways cleared etc ;
2. URGENT TASKS such as renovation on old Monte e.g building skills,laboring,painting,plumbing,carpentry,tiling,making a kitchen,fitting a wood burner also for collecting firewood for winter; preparing firebreaks; etc
3. PERSONAL PROJECTS, which are suited to each individual, such as building brick or stone garden walls; tending the ORGANIC GARDEN; holding WORKSHOPS OR LANDSCAPING; TENDING TO THE MACHINERY; etc

We are not judgmental but accepting,sincere and friendly; Our word is our bond.
IF WE ACCEPT YOU INTO OUR HOME we will be a part of your life forever as we commit to be a family for you .

Please try and arrive before 3 pm.

5 -6 days a week,5 hours a day.approx

This Farm is for people that genuinely want to work and get their hands very dirty and learn.
Please bring a good thick sleeping bag,torch,work gloves,hot water bottle,(if you feel the cold)as we are about 20 plus daytime 8/12 night time,flask,welly or work shoes/boots,also old clothes to work in etc

This is a gift and sharing community.
A donation of min of 6 food items each person per week eg Bread,butter,Coffee,Tea Bags,Veg,Fruit,Pasta,Rice,Olive Oil,Honey,washing powder(many choices) of any sort would be very much appreciated or anything you can bring to the table.You can collect any of these items when you arrive in Sines or Cercal or Santiago.

Are you Vegetarians,Vegans,Raw Food or Meat Eaters??

Meals are communal we all share food and drinks.we have a oven and wood stove to cook with which is in our house which is basically habitable needs lots of work .We have a inside toilet plumbed and hot showers
(All accommodation to be provided by yourselves.)
We do have small tents available to start with.
We welcome longer term helpers with the view to creating a trusting and peaceful community.

NO EXCESSIVE DRINKING AND NO DRUGS TOLERATED,

We have horses and dogs ALL BARKING MAD and cats and various other animals, some rescued and some our own.
This is the opportunity to gain valuable life experience and develop skills and meet new people.

PS To my Friends with certain skills some paid work maybe available to help towards your travels.
