I am a nursing student right now. The stress has gotten to me so I'm planning a 2 month trip to South America! I have travelled to Bali, Indonesia and Sri Lanka. When I went to Bali I went through the volunteer organization, IVHQ. I went to Sri Lanka through Projects Abroad. Those were great ways to meet new people and to feel extra safe in the countries I was visiting, but this time I plan on staying mostly at hostels, and I want to couch surf and do Workaway as much as I can. This is partly to save money, but also because it will allow me to have more freedom in moving through the countries I will be visiting.

Besides that, I am very optimistic and friendly. I am vegan, so I don't eat any meat or animal products (including dairy and eggs), but don't worry, I won't judge you if you do! I love to cook and eat. I am learning Spanish, but forewarning, it's terrible. I'm super nervous about going to South America without knowing very much Spanish but I'm hoping I will learn a lot while I am there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a solo traveller, I want to take every chance I get to meet new people and make friends. Some of the greatest people I have met have been while I was travelling. I plan on staying at hostels which will allow me to meet a lot of other travellers, but couch surfing is a such a great and safe way of making friends with locals. It will also give me such a better and more honest understanding of the country, seeing it through the eyes of someone who lives there.
