About Me

I'm a medical student in Seattle, Washington! I grew up in Toronto, Canada and in Seattle and have family in Taiwan and Hong Kong. In 2016, I did a 7 week solo trip around Southeast Asia. In 2017, I did a three week solo trip in Germany, Czech Republic, and Poland! This year, I am planning a trip back to Hong Kong and Taiwan to see family. The next time I have time off, I would love to visit Morocco.

I am a pretty flexible traveler and am always open to exploring new places and meeting new people!
Being from Seattle, I love exploring the outdoors and whatever natural beauty my destinations have. I am also a huge art and music buff. Also, I love trying and making new foods! I am one of those people who starts thinking about the next meal as soon as I've finished the previous one. =)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To learn more about how people are all around the world. I got into the medical field because I love people and learning more about why they are--traveling and couchsurfing is a logical extension of that for me.

I also love showing people around my home city of Seattle. It is one of the most beautiful, green, vibrant places and there is so much to see here, especially outdoors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a summer teaching elementary school English on an island between China and Taiwan that was bombed heavily during the Cultural Revolution. The island had only been opened up to civilians a couple decades prior and there were still army barracks up all around the island. But really, the scariest things on that island were the mosquitoes...

What I Can Share with Hosts

A lot of nerdy scientific and medical knowledge, a vast love of music (I danced classical ballet for 13 years and love to play flute)

I also LOVE cooking and would love to make meals with my hosts!
