I'm a 48 year old single female, animal lover, world traveller. I work hard but don't think that's supposed to be the point. Working out is important to me although I have been known to have a drink and the ocassional cigarette with it now and then. I'm an activist at heart but will in no way force my opinions on anyone and you might not even know I have them if you aren't curious about them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've couch surfed before but was with a friend so I don't have my own profile. I think it's the only way to travel and meeting strangers is one of the most fun things about visiting someplace new. Will be visiting New York this summer and though I grew up not far from there I don't think I have any friends in the area anymore.

Music, Movies, and Books

Almost any live music is my favorite, especially if I'm on stage. Favorite movie I've seen recently is Thanks for Sharing, hands down. Daring Greatly would be favorite book I've read in the past year.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my corporate job at the age of 28 to move to London and get a job consulting for 1 year. Rather than coming home after that I travelled to 35 countries with a backpack for a year. I ended up quiting my much more successful corporate job yet again at 35 years old to sing in Jakarta for 6 months. Eventually I moved to Nashville and started a non-profit animal rescue. Holy smokes, I sound awesome. But I do have to admit it's been a while since I've done anything amazing. :( Guess that's why I am starting a couch surfing profile.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I can learn almost anything, unless you ask my boss. I am happy to share anything I have including my home for a short period of time. Teach...I'm probably more of an encourager than a teacher and helping people is one of my favorite things to do. I've lived in Nashville for 11 years and sharing my amazing neighborhood of East Nashville is one of my favorite things to do.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well I am great at staying out of the way, being quiet, low maintenance, I don't eat much and I will laugh at all of your jokes. I can't cook for you while I visit but I can clean up, walk your dog, I'll let your cat sleep with me and I don't ever walk around with ear buds in.
