Overview
About Me
I graduated with a B.A. in English Literature in May, and have been working as a marketing copywriter since then. I also work part-time at American Eagle, which is where I worked for four years during school. I love to read, hike with my dog, travel, and learn new things. Quiet, but friendly. Coffee is life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One time I road-tripped from Minnesota to Florida for my friend's wedding the weekend before finals week and slept in a parking garage because I couldn't afford a hotel, looking to not repeat that night again.
I've been to 20+ countries, mostly doing volunteer work and studying abroad. I'm hoping to find ways to travel more, both internationally and domestically within the U.S., and figured this site might be able to help me out with that! Since I just graduated and am working on saving as well as paying off student loans, affordable travel is hard to make work, and this seemed like a good way of helping to budget things out.

Music, Movies, and Books
If you're into modernist literature, we'll get along just fine. Travelled from Minneapolis to Northampton, MA just to see Sylvia Plath's collection in the Mortimer Rare Book Room and hope to do it again soon. Authors I love: Virginia Woolf, T.S. Eliot, Ernest Hemingway, Sylvia Plath, Rupi Kaur, and lots more.
Favorite movie ever is (500) Days of Summer. My guilty pleasure is terribly made horror movies. American Horror Story and Parks & Rec are my favorite T.V. shows.
Into pretty much all music except for country. I love everything from Bring Me The Horizon to The 1975 to Tove Lo.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One time I was told I would be taking a casual "hill walk" in Scotland.
Turned out that meant battling a hailstorm at the top of what appeared to be a small mountain where I couldn't see more than five feet in front of me due to fog or clouds or something. The wind nearly blew me off the edge of it, but I made it down alright in the end, it was a good time.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like all three of those words.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Lots of travel stories! I can also cook some pretty good food and make a mean pot of coffee. If you're looking to learn to knit, I gotchu. Need help editing your paper or finding sources, I also gotchu. I also clean and pet sit, especially if you have a cute dog.
