Overview
About Me
I enjoy kayaking, yoga, salsa/bachata, reading, cooking, and live music--especially jazz and opera. I moved to Tennessee from the West coast to be closer to family, and have enjoyed getting to know the rivers & trails in the area.
I'm sociable and easygoing, and would be happy to share a meal together, or allow you your space. Non-smokers only, please, and if you are a loud/late partier, please plan to do that off the property.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As an empty-nester, I find the house feels warmer when I periodically fill it up with guests: friends, family, and now perhaps some Surfers!
I also enjoy traveling and have always had the best experiences when I've been able to get out of tourist zones and into regular neighborhoods, so I do hope to be a guest myself some time.
I love the Surfer mindset of connection and trust. We're all responsible for building that, and this seems like a great way!

Music, Movies, and Books
I usually have music playing in the house, anything from Puccini to Parker to Pink. I'm a big fan of Jane Austen and Thomas Hardy, and am currently reading Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon. I have limited time for podcasts, but I'll always carve out an hour for Ten Percent Happier.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook and would be happy to prepare a (vegetarian) meal for us to enjoy together.
