Overview
About Me
West Coast gal who loves the outdoors in moderation. I like bright colors, puns, and quoting the obscure Jurassic Park references.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
1) Meet new people! Fellow travelers and destination locals. (I like to travel solo, but I also like to have company while I'm exploring)
2) Expand my options for traveling (yes, that's partly about $$ and partly about access to locations)
I am NOT on couchsurfing to just find a place to crash, I'd really like to get to know my hosts and even make long-term friends. Come see me when you make it to Seattle! I am also NOT on couchsurfing for hook-ups or sex of any kind. Please don't message me if that is your goal.
HOSTING NOTE: I am not able to host surfers at this time. But please connect if you will be in Seattle or we will be traveling to the same location at the same time. I would love to show you my hometown or explore a new city with new friends!
Interests
What I like: travel, planning travel, dreaming about travel. Live theatre and improv, laughter yoga, talking about US employment law (kinda kidding), fantasy football (American football), overcoming every last anxiety I have about heights, celebrating obscure holidays, photography, discussing personality types, singing (I'm in a choir), meditation, cheap wine.
When I travel, I like to combine a mix of the big touristy spots (museums, monuments, theme parks) with little hole-in-the-wall cafes and restaurants. I want to see the big attractions AND get a sense of the day-to-day lifestyle of the area.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Jurassic Park, Strictly Ballroom, any Christmas movies (especially Elf and It's a Wonderful Life).
TV: I've watched the following series through multiple times... anything by Joss Whedon (Buffy, Firefly, etc), Star Trek: TNG, 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, Archer, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Books: Paperback mysteries. I'm totally fascinated by the hobby genre ones, like "Coffee House" or "Haunted Vintage Clothing" series. There's even a mystery series about Amish crafts, haven't read it yet, but I love how oddly specific these things are getting.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rappelled off a sky scraper in a super hero costume - Elastigirl (Mrs. Incredible), who else? And raised a bunch of money for a local charity.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader, so we could "laugh for no reason" together. I am also trying to learn Spanish and Portuguese. I would like more chances to practice. And I would be happy to practice English with you if you are learning.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can bring a treat from America or my last destination for you to try. Let me know if there is something you are curious about.
I will do my best to try to explain Donald Trump and American politics in general, if you are curious. Some of it is too crazy for even me to understand!
