Overview
About Me
I'm a down to earth, friendly, easy going and low key person. I work as Sous Chef in Philadelphia in a fine dining restaurant specializing in French cuisine. I was trained at the Culinary Institute of America in New York, and then moved to NYC to begin my Commis where I was trained in the French brigade system. I've worked in some of the best kitchens in the world, along side some amazing people, and loved cooking in NYC. I moved back to Philadelphia, which is my hometown, a few years ago, but have always felt this strong desire to travel. I'm definitely a HUGE foodie, I believe that food is a vehicle for bringing families and communities together. I love to cook with friends, and to teach people things I've learned while cooking professionally in all the fancy places I've worked. I love to talk about food! (But, I seriously do have other interests!) My other interests include working out, art, museums, fashion and meeting new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all types of music, and I have a lot of friends that I grew up with in Philly that are now in the music industry.
I love old school hip-hop, and definitely am drawn towards music that makes me want to dance!
I listen to classical music when I need to focus, and I use headphones in the kitchen to tune out the madness in my kitchen before a busy dinner service.
Artists I love include: the roots, talib kweli, mariah carey, drake (don't judge me!), counting crows, pearl jam.... random I know!
I have to admit that most of my friends say I have awful taste in movies, and would tell you not to let me pick. I tend to pick movies randomly and don't base my picks based on what critics have written. I love comedy, rom-coms, stand-up comedy, documentaries, pixar and disney movies. I can get into anything as log as I've got someone who wants to watch with me!
All time favorite movies: Tommy Boy, Dumb and Dumber, Pans Labryinth
I love to read non-fiction, memoirs, and especially love to read cook books!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled all over Venezuela with a group of doctors from the World Health Organization, who work to combat the epidemic of blindness in children occurring all over the world. We traveled into the Amazon and spent time in Caracas, and I loved every single minute of it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my love of cooking with hosts and would be happy to cook for my hosts. At home, after I've cooked dinner for my family or friends, I pack myself and my families lunches for the next day. Everyone loves this! I love to eat healthy and I find that people love this too! I'd be happy to share and help out in anyway I can!
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Canada, England, Italy, Mexico, Sweden, Venezuela
