I love to travel, I enjoy learning and listening to other travelers stories. My mother was born in England, grew up in South Africa, and traveled the world before the age of 16. We traveled extensively growing up. I haven't traveled much since getting married and have missed it, have heard great things about couchsurfing. I am independent and do not require entertainment, but I love to cook, clean up after myself, will be very respectful, and enjoy learning to cook new things and experiencing locations from a local point of view - input only if you do not have time to invest, I understand!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have nursed my father to his death - pancreatic cancer. Once, backpacking in Ireland, I tore my ACL & MCL on the way up to the top of Blarney Castle. I thought I had pulled a muscle as my pain tolerance is very high and continued to backpack for another 4 days before realizing something more was wrong than a pull or strain. I've gotten more mindful since then but always up for an adventure!
