About Me

I have wanted to travel the world since I was a kid. The school librarian knew me because I would check out books on different countries. I have a dream of becoming a surgeon one day. It is a huge dream of mine. That is why I dedicate my semester to studying hard. Then again, in my small breaks, I want to travel as much as I can and make memories that I will cherish when I get old. I went backpacking in Italy this past summer and it was such an adventure and very much worth it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have met amazing people by taking public transportation to go to college and volunteer in the hospital. I remember when I had just begun taking the bus, I met a lady from Guatemala who loved Paulo Coelho's books. We chatted about philosophy and her home country. Before we left, we hugged each other goodbye, and she told me that she felt like she knew me. Many strangers have motivated me to keep studying when school gets tough. In particular, I will never forget when I was waiting for the bus late at night and I felt overwhelmed with school. An older man who sat next to me at the bus stop told me the most inspiring real-life story of a homeless man who became a surgeon. I have had great experiences meeting new people and I want to expand that experience with Couchsurfing.
