About Me

I left the States in March 2014 and have traveled through Indonesia, West Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar and Borneo doing various volunteer work (mostly related to children and guesthouses). I live day by day, usually never making plans until moments before a new adventure. It's scary and challenging, but amazing at the same time. I wouldn't have it any other way!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some of the most fun I've had was when I slept on a hammock for nearly three months on a gorgeous little unknown island in Thailand (I lived in SE Asia for a year and a half). The island has no electricity and is literally paradise on earth... for people who enjoy more humbling and challenging experiences. :) I grew close with the family whose section of the beach became my home for a short while, and loved sharing laughs and connecting with their generous and kind-hearted souls daily.

Also, after the big earthquake hit Nepal in April, I raised around $1,700 to send to an orphanage near Kathmandu that was completely destroyed by the quake. (See http://www.gofundme.com/EliGoesToNepal)

Teach, Learn, Share

Always teaching. Always learning. Always sharing. I believe every person and experience is placed in my path as my teacher in some way, shape, or form and for a very specific reason... So the ways I teach, learn, and share with others changes daily, from moment to moment.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing stories! And I'm always happy to cook and clean.
