I'm a 23 year old student from Ghent, Belgium. Needed a lot of soul searching before finding a fitting study, but now I'm finishing up my bachelor in art history and starting a master's degree in conflict and development. I'm kinda addicted to travelling and used to skip out on classes to go on trips, but now I've grown up and decided to do The Adult Thing and make university a priority. This means I can only travel during breaks but - panic - what in between classes? This is where couchsurfing comes in: I've met up with some great people from all over the world in Ghent to grab a beer or take a walk and it keeps my urge to discover new cultures at bay. Sometimes I act like a workaholic and am swamped with two jobs and my study, but if I can find the time, I'd love to meet you :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

All the people you meet along the way is one of the best things about travelling (solo)! Couchsurfing is a great way to make some friends and get to know the destination better at the same time. I also really enjoy meeting up with travellers in my own city to show them what's good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept under the stars in the Indian desert one summer night. It was pitch black until lightning struck and lit up the whole sky. There was no rain, there was no thunder, only crazy beautiful lightning. The next morning I woke up with footprints of a stray dog circling around me. The dog itself had by then fallen asleep a little further, his tail curled around his body. We gave him some of our breakfast before we headed back to civilisation, and he followed us for a good two hours before he met another dog and decided to tag along with him.
