My name is Elizabeth, though people call me Liz. I'm a student at the University of Utah and I love traveling. I love learning about different cultures and people. I like to think I'm a friendly, humorous, and open person :) Music is one of the things that makes me the happiest. I enjoy trying new tastes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I lived aboard in Thailand and since then, I loved it. Although I was only 15 at the time, I spent a year in a foreign country where I had to learn the language to get by and I found a family. I hope I can do that for someone else in my lifetime.

And plus, I love finding people who are passionate and have similar interests as me!
I like the idea of finding someone who will just start talking and telling me stories and then bounce from each other. That's why I'm on CS, though I am still fairly new, I'm excited to see what's in store.

Interests

Music, concerts (especially), photography, social justice, environment awareness, ethnic studies, and hiking. But, I LOVE being in the city. I'm a vegetarian but sometimes I cheat if friends tell me it's worth it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love ALL kinds of music.
My taste varies from Eazy-E to G-Eazy, Ratatat to Lana Del Rey. The 1975 to The Pixies. Love the Beatles and Luke Bryan. Carrie Underwood is amazing and I love Taylor Swift. Never a bad time to listen to Sinatra or Yo-Yo Ma. I adore Selena (no, not Gomez), Chance the Rapper, and J. Cole but my heart belongs to the Brits and Irish. One Direction, The 1975, Ed Sheeran, and Adele are my favorite of all time.
I never got into reading, but every once and a while, I find a good book and it will take over my life.
Movies are great, I especially love horror and comedy.
