About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience as many different cultures as possible!

ABOUT ME

I am studying abroad in London, January-May 2010. I may look like the average tall, blonde, blue-eyed American but there is so much more to me than that! I am studying to be an Occupational Therapist someday. I have traveled to Italy and Thailand the past 2 years. I love trying new things and the beauty of simplicity. I am up for pretty much anything, except swimming with sharks, and I am easy to get along with. Helping people is my passion and I love laughing!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a gift to us and there are so many opportunities to be had out there. I want to "be there" when "that happened". I allow Jesus, my savior, to lead my feet on this crazy adventure called life. We're only given one shot, so why not live it up?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will be couch surfing over weekends while traveling Europe for 4 months and after May 2010 I am willing to host someone in Pella, Iowa!

Music, Movies, and Books

Any book by Francine Rivers is a favorite of mine! Music is a passion of mine and I enjoy many, many kinds!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visited a Buddhist temple on top of a mountain in northern Thailand.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning about other cultures helps you grow so much as a human being. As humans we have tendencies to be stuck in our own opinions and beliefs; but learning and being open to other's allows us to be more grounded and accepting. How many opportunities will you miss if you are closed off?
