Chi sono
CURRENT MISSION
to travel as much as my job will allow me to
ABOUT ME
I'm very easy going. I like a good combination of fun/crazy nights out on the town and low key nights chilling with some drinks at a lounge or just on the apartment balcony. I'm friendly, but often have a hard time meeting new people because I can be shy when I am outside of my comfort zone. I'm loyal and trustworthy. I am a true tourist at heart, but also like finding the hole in the wall bars/restaurants that only locals know about!
PHILOSOPHY
spend every day like a tourist, even in your home town, you never know what you will discover. This is a new philosophy that I plan on living by. I have lived in NC for 4 years now and really haven't explored the state! That will change this summer.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to couchsurfing and am eager to get into it. I have browsed a little already for an upcoming trip.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I just joined yesterday, so no real experience yet. I just set up my itinerary for a trip in Aug/Sept and sent my first request though!
Interessi
I LOVE TRAVELING! I just often don't have the money/time to do so or don't have anyone to go with. I've decided to not let that last one stop me anymore! Otherwise I enjoy watching tv, listening to music, reading books, and learning new things. Currently I'm enrolled in a holistic nutrition program that will end in November. Some other goals of mine are to eventually really learn French (took 3 years of it in HS) so I can spend some significant time traveling France speaking the language.

Musica, film e libri
Movies: Harry Potter, Sound of Music, Oceans 11, 12, 13, ANY scary movie, even stupid ones
Music: Dashboard Confessional, Celine Dion, Tegan and Sarah, Mat Kearny, anything live (not country)
Books: mysteries, biographies, non-fiction. Currently my nose is always in a nutrition book for the program I am enrolled in, but I have a long list of leisure books that I am hoping to read once I have completed the program.
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
The Eiffel Tower. I was only 12 at the time though so I don't think I really appreciated all Paris had to offer. I cannot wait to return and really immerse myself in the culture (this time knowing the language).
Without a doubt NYC. There is just something about that place that makes me feel alive. I don't think there is even one or 2 things that I love most about the city. I love it all, the buildings/architecture, museums, parks, food, subways, neighborhoods, etc.
I'm not sure if this belongs in this category, but when I saw Bodies: the Exhibition, that was the definition of awestruck. See the complex nature of the human body dissected out is so many different ways made me realize how much we take for granted each day. We are very complex beings. I highly recommend that exhibit to anyone who has not seen it.
Insegna, impara, condividi
See above. I have a thirst for knowledge and like learning new things. Anyone who can teach me something new is cool in my book.
