ABOUT ME
PhD student in Cognitive Neuroscience, out-going and social, interested in almost every topic. I grew up in upstate New York. My partner is Chilean, has lived in the US for a few years, and is a software engineer. We both love meeting new people and exploring new places!
PHILOSOPHY
We both are trying to maximize our happiness on this short time on earth. We try not to worry and to always push our limits and seek new adventures.
Interests
traveling, meeting new people, music (Carlos plays guitar and I used to be a radio DJ), video games, learning new things/languages, hiking and nature, history, and anything science or engineering related.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've flown a small plane by myself! It came after a year of pilot lessons when I was a teenager. I've also climbed the steps to Machu Picchu by moonlight.
Teach, Learn, Share
Those aspiring to learn Spanish can speak to Carlos and practice their skills. We're also happy to talk about our vermicompost system, our work (his in software, mine in neuroscience), or Chilean politics and U.S. politics. Between us we cover a broad swath of interests, from heavy metal music (him) to the work of D.H. Lawrence (me), we are happy to share our insights. If you ever had a question about the brain or cognition, I would be happy to talk at length about neuroscience!
