Overview
About Me
After a long hiatus from couch surfing I’m firing this account back up! I currently live in Durham NC. I love to adventure and my most recent adventure was thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail in the summer of 2022. I’m looking to host and connect with fellow travelers and also hoping to find hosts for a two week trip in Iceland in August.
PHILOSOPHY
"I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time." - Jack London
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I couchsurfed for the first time in the summer of 2010 when I traveled through the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, and Italy. After that I was hooked and completely in love with the whole idea of couchsurfing. For years it was just about the only way that I traveled and I have couchsurfed subsequently in Amsterdam, France, Italy, Uganda, Kenya and the US. I took about a decade away but now I’m really excited to jump back in.
