Hi! I’m Elizabeth, an American traveler and general fun-lover. I work seasonally, running a small hostel in Alaska, for about half the year, so I usually try to travel for a few months in the early winter before I go home to play in the snow!

I absolutely love to be outside. Hiking, paddle boarding, surfing, snowboarding, pretty much anything under the sun!! But on a rainy day I am more than happy to sit with a coffee (or 3) for long chats and relaxation.

Couch surfing is my favorite way to travel because I love sharing experiences with new people. It’s so much more pleasant and fulfilling to see a new place through a local’s eyes. I do a fair bit of housesitting, too, but it’s way more fun to have a chat with your hosts and share something together.

Have me at your place and I’ll cook you a mean dinner! Definitely more of a live-to-eat type than eat-to-live. And I never skip dessert!!

Sharing a meal is my favorite way to socialize. I love to cook and bake, and I think cooking with new friends is the most wonderful little treasure of the human experience.
