Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Exploring, eating, and adventuring my way through Southeast Asia.
ABOUT ME
I'll go just about anywhere in search of a fun time or a great story. I just quit my job writing for a software company in Seattle so I could explore Southeast Asia and write for myself. When I'm home, I love cooking dinners, hosting friends and travelers, making cocktails, dancing in Seattle's awesome electronic music scene, and otherwise enjoying my beautiful city. When I'm traveling, I love exploring all of the local culture: food, drinks, art, music, history, wildlife, people.
PHILOSOPHY
I think that Fun is the great redeemer of all things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to show people around Seattle—from cheap street eats to the city's nicest restaurants, our small but super-cool art scene, and all of the amazing music to be heard around town. When traveling, I love meeting other people who are out exploring the world and doing interesting things abroad.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, I have hosted four surfers, played tour guide to many an out-of-towner, and gate-crashed a CS barbeque (but I brought beer!). The future holds many more hostings and surfings.
Interests
Learning new languages, binge-reading, hearing people's stories, writing for work and pleasure, making and appreciating art, urban exploration, fashion, food, wine, the pursuit of the perfect cocktail, finding beauty in unexpected places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Kayaking in a bay full of bioluminescent plankton in Puerto Rico. Drinking hot spiced wine in front of the Astronomical Clock in Praha. A band of bright green across the night sky in Reykjavik. Boating between islands in the most beautiful lavender light at sunset in Croatia.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you host me, I can teach you how to make cocktails, how to create a cool piece of art for your home, and lots of crazy, fantastic idioms and expressions in English. I can also help you improve your Internet copywriting skills, if you're into that sort of thing. :)
