CURRENT MISSION

I've just concluded an amazing journey studying Gender Studies in Budapest, Hungary. After an intensive two years of study and eye-opening learning, I'm taking a break and traveling for a few months in Europe. I would love to meet new people and keep learning form others and the environment around me!

ABOUT ME

I am an interested person who wants to explore as much of the world as possible. I'm from North Carolina, went to college in California and have lived in New Orleans and Budapest. I studied history and literature, and I am fascinated by cultures and communities all over the world. I love meeting new people and learning about their lives and interests, and I want to experience as much of what is different and new as I can. I like to read a lot, and I do quite a bit of cooking, and like experimenting with new recipes and finding interesting ingredients. I love cooking for people and often have friends over to cook and eat with me! I like to be outdoors quite a bit, and I often ride my bike around the town or down to the sea. I love going on walks and hikes, with friends or alone, and I enjoy rock-climbing quite a bit as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have read a lot of feminist and queer theory in the past two years - critical discourses on how we understand ourselves in this complicated world - and I am looking forward to reading fiction again. Music, right now I'm really enjoying Molly Nilsson - check her out! - and in general I'm a huge fan of hip hop and rap, one of my faves is Silvana Imam.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can teach you how to bake bread! And if you're already a master baker, I'd love to learn from you. I also know a lot about medieval Russian history and Scottish literature.
