About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Seeking new adventures with fun loving, curious people.

ABOUT ME

I'm a fairly outgoing person and love hearing other opinion, learning about new perspectives and ways of life. I'm flexible and don't mind when plans change or people suggest fun new ideas. I'm definitely more interested in local knowledge than reading from guide books and are always willing to try new foods, new music, meet new people, the whole experience! And being outside beats being inside any day of the week...

PHILOSOPHY

I strongly believe that strangers are simply friends we haven't met yet and the more people we meet, the more open-minded we remain, the more enjoyable and fulfilling life will be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a few times now and have met friends of surfers even when I've left one city for another. I love introducing people to each other and knowing that I'm helping my friends make more friends. When friends in Montreal are hosting, I'm always ready to show them a fun time and am eager to start hosting as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a huge fan of couchsurfing and have hopped across Canada from Quebec City to Vancouver meeting amazing people, learning to country dance, eating some great food, bonding with unexpected new friends and generally just loving every minute of my couchsurfing experiences.

Interests

Food, comfortable clothes, cats, slow lazy music, listening to peoples stories, supporting anything local and good for the sense of community.

Music, Movies, and Books

Any zombie movies, actually, anything with cool graphics! I'm an easy audience.

Dystopic books are always fun, every book has something good about it so I guess it depends on the mood.

Music: Elton John, John Mayer, motown, I will Karaoke sober in the morning, I love it! And honestly, all that 90's music and one hit wonders just make me feel good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have volunteered 40hours/week for 3 months with adults with exceptionalities (downs syndrome, autism, personality disorders, etc) Every day they surprised me and I learned just how bright, compassionate and just how rich their characters really were.

Teach, Learn, Share

Try everything once! If you like it you'll gain from having tried, and if you don't like it you'll at least be able to justify why.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you how to make salad dressings, to juggle, do french braids, and to speak French. I generally just talk a lot and am full of puns :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Bolivia, Chile, England, Estonia, Ireland, Italy, Northern Ireland, Peru

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, New Zealand, Scotland
