About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To appreciate the beauty of living in a place (at least temporarily) that is not buried under a meter of snow most months of the year.
ABOUT ME
My name is Elizabeth. I'm really into Neil Young, Nora Ephron, and I have a great appreciation for anything on/ below/ created with cheese. Bold red wine is my lover. Coffee is my best friend. I enjoy being co-pilot and dj during road trips. I value concise direction-giving and warm embraces.
PHILOSOPHY
Sometimes I believe in as many as six impossible things before breakfast.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I wrote a letter when I was 8 years old to the President of the United States, at the time, President Clinton. I received a reply from his Vice President, Al Gore. The letter proposed a US national holiday to commemorate victims on the Titanic in 1912. Gore told me to stay in school and strive to set a good example for others.

Measuring a latent trait, such as food insecurity, is as daunting as crucial to report on. Statistically speaking, we are very close to forming a single scale where a person can be ranked on the same plane as a severity of food insecurity and thus, we will better be able to compare the experience someone has in one country of one region of the world, with another person's experience on the other side of the globe. This is particularly important as our world loses borders, gains borders, grows, kills, suffers and thrives in an emerging age where obesity is as likely an outcome from malnutrition as wasting is.
