I'm 23 years old, French/American. Born in New York, grew up in Dijon France. I studied Filmmaking in New Orleans, Louisiana, which is one of the most amazing cities I know. After that, I worked on a horse-breeding farm in France for a few months, then moved to Munich, Germany as an au-pair. I've been living in Munich for a year and a half now, working as a barista in a vegan coffee shop. At the end of August 2016, I'll be starting an adventure with a friend of mine from Munich: we are flying to Peru.
Traveling has been a passion of mine since a young age, and I've always known I wanted to do something that would involve that, career wise. I love discovering new places and people, and just being reminded how beautiful the world can be, which is something that's easy to forget when you're just going to and from work, using the same route, seeing the same exact things every day.
I'm sort of an artsy type of person, open-minded, quirky. I can be very calm and enjoy every second of sitting back with a glass of wine or a cold beer with some good people and good music, but I also love to take out my party shoes now and then. I love to see live music (indie-rock), and have a great appreciation for live jazz & soul (having spent 4 years in New Orleans I really miss it), but I can dance to other music as well after a couple drinks ;).
I watch A LOT of tv-shows, but I've been having internet trouble for a couple months now and got back into reading which I'm also very happy about.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Well it seems I signed up in 2011, though I have no idea why. I guess the concept already appealed to me.
Now I'm planning an adventure with a friend, and one of the first things we decided is that we want to get to know the locals. We do not want to be tourists.
We are headed to South America, and plan on being there and in Central America for 6 months to a year, doing work and travel. Other than that, no specific plans yet, we want to stay as flexible as possible, and sort of go where life takes us, which I think is part of the concept of couch surfing as well: be open to meeting amazing people and allowing them to have an effect on your trip, just as you will have one on them.
I of course hope to host one day as well, when I get back and get myself my own apartment, but that's still a little ways in the future.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I think my favorite experience was spending a week on a remote island off Belize with some friends, scuba-diving every day. It was a very small school trip so we had a tropical ecology professor with us, and got to learn about everything we saw. It was so exhilarating and beautiful.
