I'm Ellie, I'm a singer/musician, filmmaker, writer, editor, an artist, basically :))
I've lived in the UK for 2 years before coming back to France, for a bit and then moved on to Portugal where I currently plan to spend time exploring. Maybe try out to move around the country quite a lot this year (WWOFing and other opportunities in the likes). I am currently planning a little trip to take me to France around the start of the new year 2025, for a concert and then back again to Porto in the days that follow.
And I think I'd love to travel to Ireland to see if I want to move there in near future.

I'm 31, hungry for connection with people. I'm always up for passionately sharing about singing, cinema, spirituality, photography, psychology, philosophy with new people with different perspectives and enthusiasm.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to travel and be able to stay for a few nights in new places, hopefully meeting people on the same wavelength, exchanging about art, music, and many other subjects. This trip I'm planning is very much a rebirth kind of trip (as in I haven't done a trip alone in a while and I want to experience the thrill of being on the road, staying at cool places with cool people, going towards that concert I plan on going to in Paris. It's a fun idea (and a bit scary) but I wanna, I wanna, I wanna !)
And I'd love to talk to other like minded people, chill and relaxed, interested in sharing their anecdotes and hearing mine. I have lots of stories to tell, although a lot are of fictional nature since I write many novels and stories ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love neo-classical music (Ramin Djawadi, Hans Zimmer...) and electronic music. Folk as well (Laura Marling, Mumfords and Sons) last but not least, huge love for Heilung and others like Kalandra.
My favourite movies would take much longer, but I'd say : "Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind" as one in my top 5 and recently Everything Everywhere All at Once has also won my heart. The Fountain is also a huge one for me.
Books is a rather long one to answer too. I've recently got into Earthsea, and I really am into dystopian / sci-fi like similar to Silo series and fantasy writing. But my heart has been completely won by Terry Pratchett, with Good Omens and the Discworld series of novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel about 7 hours in a van towards San Francisco with a lizard hiding in my bra (true story)
(bonus one) I've gone and sang, A Capella, "Nature Boy" at an open mic event, in front of many people, with no preparation and I've lived to tell the tale ;)
(and yes both of these anecdotes were both brilliant and terrifying :))

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some English, French, share some basics about photography and filmmaking, how to write or get inspired, the process of writing a novel, some insights on psychology if that's your thing, sharing music, I can sing if that's your medicine :)
I'd like to learn more about many things, but languages, cultures, what fascinates people and their passions are of utmost importance to me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share many things I believe. Singing, music, impromptu improvisation, creative ideas, knowledge of many different books of different genres, knowledge of many TV series worth watching and films as well.
I cannot yet recite the alphabet backwards, but I'm making good progress.
