I am an engineer that likes to be interacting more with people than machines. I live in Southwestern Finland with my family in a small community. We are seeking new ways of living in a more social way with a shared focus on environmental sustainability. In everyday life we commit ourselves to spiritual practice in forms of yoga and meditation and creative arts.

I'm willing to constantly walk in the edge between the New World and the old one as it's collapsing behind us. That is to say I'm well aware of the human impact on Earth's geology and ecosystems reaching its critical limits. I am learning to be brave and stay in the frontier when the change is coming. I am learning to feel myself completely in every moment, in the living presence, without conditions and barriers of mind or materia. And I am striving to make meaningful things in my life because Life is just too short to just be afraid for failures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I´d like to meet new people and share cultures and experiences with them. CS is a way to doing this more profoundly that would ever be possible just by staring at sights and travelling from a hotel to another.

Our community also likes to share our place for occasional travellers in need of a place to stay. We have visited some couchsurfer hosts with my spouse during a trip to the Central Europe in 2014. Having experienced the hospitality of the people in several countries we want to offer something similar to the people coming to our region as well.

We recognize the importance of feeling welcomed and loved. Happiness arises from being part of something bigger and sharing things with others. You will definitely like to visit our community if you like conversations, walking in the forest, gardening at summertime, making food, sitting on a fire, playing music and singing together or playing with small children.

I have just started a company that has a main goal of protecting old forests and helping customers in development of a living relationship to the nature. This is my thing, my mission and my job at the moment.
