I grew up on an Island in Washington State near Seattle, USA, and just finished university.

I’m traveling alone for 8 months in Asia and Africa from September 2018 to May 2019 as part of a university fellowship and I’m hoping to learn about peoples’ relationships to water as I travel, but mostly have fun and learn from different people, landscapes, and cultures.

I tend to be a bit quiet at first but will open up after some conversation. I enjoy simple days wandering and eating, reading and drawing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy learning what makes a place special to different people, and staying in someone’s home offers the opportunity to exchange stories and culture in ways I find both fascinating and fun. I want to learn more about the world, people, and their relationship to water as I travel, especially from people that are connected to the places they live.
