About Me

I am a 24 year old, self employed and a Half Japanese, Half Filipino American who loves to cook and conversate about a wide range of topics. I love meeting new people and getting new perspectives about everything including politics, food, movies, music, and general culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet interesting people and have a closer experience with someone I’m staying with than I often get at AirBnB’s or Hotels. I have a lot of interests and find it very easy to find a common one to talk about with most people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I think for all three of theses categories the easiest thing to do is talk about what I don’t listen to, watch, or read:
I don’t really love hip hop and rap nor do I listen to country music on a regular basis. But I can appreciate both and have handfuls of songs from both genres I like to listen to. I’ve also never gotten into death metal, but always love discussing every genre of music
I don’t watch a ton of romantic comedies, but otherwise I love all movies for different reasons. I am a close follower of awards seasons and know a lot about popular culture surrounding cinema.
I don’t read YA novels but have delved into a lot of other genres. I am currently trying to get through the Alexandria Quartet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once canoed 127 miles through Canadian Wilderness back into the United States carrying all of my own gear and food.

Teach, Learn, Share

I absolutely love teaching people how to cook. I can also teach basics of guitar and general music theory.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love conversing on a number of topics but one of my favorite things to do is to cook. I can teach hosts how to cook so many different dishes from a ton of different cuisines. Or if they want I can simply cook them meals in exchange for allowing me the opportunity to stay with them. I am also a very clean, handy, and organized person and can repair things and help with domestic tasks around the house.
