About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to build an amazing place that harmonizes with the people and nature around me.
ABOUT ME
I am outdoor person, loyal, friendly sometimes crazy, hardworking, community orientated, helpful, curious. So far always taking the road less traveled.
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy in life is to learn as much as I can, say yes to the unknown and trust in strangers. I believe we are one with Nature and the universe!. The key is living in the Now.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I met so many great people that came to my place and I love being a host and having guests. One day I am going to travel and hope that other people host me! I firmly believe we should look out for each other and traveling should not cost anything at all once you are in a country. In Africa,if you knock on someones door you will be welcomed. In Western Countries that is rarely the case. I am also on Couchsurfing because I think hotels are a waste of time.
Interests
I spent my time creating- I have a big vegetable and herb- and berry garden as well as beautiful fynbos surrounds. I make lamps and other items of re-cycled materials- bottle tops, tins etc. I love walking, cooking & baking- preparing meals from plants in my garden, reading, dancing,Thai Chi, music, drumming, art, fashion, design,my dog.

Music: at the moment I love to listen to Dub and Reggae but also Techno and Progressive Trance.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed the Sossusvlei dunes in Namibia at sunset ( its not allowed to stay there so late) and saw the stars rising- amazing place.
I visited Victoria Falls a couple of times- I saw the fall dry and so full of water one has to go there with an umbrella- wonderful place.
I walked with 3 other people from Cape Town to Mozambique to raise awareness of the borders and fences that divide Africa and ultimately all human kind. Walking is an amazing way of transport!
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to share gardening with people who are interested- I do not follow only one specific method but what intrigues me most is bio-dynamic gardening.Anyone out there who would like to share the knowledge? I do crop rotation, planting with the moon and planets, companion planting. I am planning to develop the farm into a Permaculture place where people can stay, work, learn and have a good time!Anybody who is interested or like to learn or share is very welcome!
