ABOUT ME

I am in Eugene, working and living by myself in a lovely studio " back house." I am blessed with having a wonderfully supportive family and many dear friends. Traveling has always been a passion...I'm usually planning an adventure or on one. My attitude recently has changed a bit to see all of life as one big adventure no matter where I may be. To keep my eyes open to the beauty and mystery of the world, to enjoy the moment now, not just when looking back.

PHILOSOPHY

Be strong in yourself, let go of the unnecessary, give yourself space to take some breaths, think things through but be prepared for spontaneous fun, and share with people!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't been into CS ing lately, mostly cause I've been staying put here in Eugene, but I'm ready to get back in it, to give it another try and meet some interesting people. I know it won't be long until I may be in need of a couch, so there you go.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a community come together in El Salvador after a woman's house was destroyed from the wind "El Norte." The leaders of the community made an announcement and in a few days up to 20 people came together to rebuild this womans house from the ground up. It was amazing, and what a thing to learn from, communities helping each other!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn more about sewing, international work, painting, gardening, non-profits, health/nutrition, grant-writing, the list goes on. I can't say I'm an expert in much but I love to cook, my Spanish is good, I love all sorts of exercise, I love to talk about Latin America (the good the bad the ugly), and I know a lot about Eugene, ha!
