Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never hosted people before, but I have slept on other people's couches in France, England, Spain and Japan. It's a great way to meet new people and learn more about the local culture. Everyone who has hosted me has been extremely generous and kind. I haven't been able to host people because of the set up I have had the past few years, but I would love to be able to host people in the future and give back to the community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
What a difficult question! I am not sure I can pick a specific moment, but I can say that Beijing really impressed me. I felt like I was in a different world, every moment was totally exciting!
I also lived in the Philippines for 6 months. This shocked me in a different way because it was the first time I saw such extreme poverty. This affected me very deeply and since then I do not care to shop and consume like I used to. It really changed my consumption habits and left in me a great deal of sadness. I think it is important for everyone to experience living in a third world country and to see such poverty with your own eyes. It made me realize how spoiled and greedy we are in Western developed countries.
