This is a joint account for both myself and my wife. We are travelling the world for a total of 15 months. Before leaving the UK, Ella worked in recruitment for one of the largest national banks and Tyler-Jay worked in payroll for one of the largest construction companies. We are both hard-working individuals, trust worthy with your typical British sense of humours.

We are about to commence the second leg of our journey after staying in Australia for nearly a year on a Working Holiday Visa. Before that, we travelled the USA (New York > Los Angeles) in a campervan, then Fiji and New Zealand.

Before leaving Australia, we will be road tripping from Brisbane to Adelaide for a few weeks, we will then fly to Perth and stay with family for a couple of weeks. After that, we start on our Asia adventure where we will be backpacking around Thailand, Vietnam & Cambodia. And lastly, Europe, before we return to freezing cold England!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When people travel and their families and friends follow their stories on Facebook, Twitter, Intsagram etc. it rarely paints the true picture. Yes we see mind blowing things and take part in amazing activities, but the reality of it is finding somewhere clean, safe and welcoming to rest your head at night. We are hoping that couch surfing can provide us this.

Being a traveller, you tend to be on a travellers budget and sometimes even the cheapest of hostels can cut into that. In addition to this, couch surfing also provides you the ability to stay with a local and gain a true experience of what it is like to live in the place you have visited.

Our music taste is a wide range of genres. From indie, rock, R&B, hip hop, garage, drum and bass, acoustic covers, reggae to jazz.

We have several favourite movies, we love most Quentin Tarantino films., Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, any Tim Burton films. Too many to mention!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have drove 5,580 miles across America.

We went to Graceland and stood 7ft above the body of Elvis.

We got married in Las Vegas!

We swam with sharks in Fiji

Tyler had her first Flying Lesson in Brisbane (she wants to be a pilot!)

The list is still yet to grow the more countries we visit...

Teach, Learn, Share

We are both educated at Diploma level in college.

We also were both training to join the Military, Tyler-Jay to join RAF as Nurse and Ella to join Army as Combat Medic, however due to health reasons we were unable to follow our dreams.

We now however have new plans, Tyler will be working towards becoming a pilot and Ella will be joining the police force when we return home.

Ella can play guitar at a standard level.
Tyler-Jay is a qualified ear piercer.

We both enjoy sports however before leaving the UK never had quite enough time as we were working hard to save for this trip.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Ella can attempt to teach you how to play guitar (she's a bit rusty herself!)
Tyler can tutor mathematics from Age 4 - 16
