About Me
Another London person too stuck in the London bubble. Desperately need to explore more. I do love the chaos of city life and always being able to find something new and I'm blessed to live with really lovely people but I truly appreciate being in nature and the slower pace that often comes with that environment.
Communities of people have a huge draw for me, I've always lived with people and can't imagine enjoying living on my own, I think it would drive me crazy.
I have not explored the world much and most of the places I've been to were for brief holidays and often when I was too young to choose my own routes. I would be happy to see whatever a host wanted to show me of their area. Culturally significant places, music venues (would love a good dance :)), local parks, etc which they think are particularly lovely would all hold interest for me. Just want to see new things and learn and have fun, easygoing yo :) If you have any activist links or are someone involved in fighting for a fairer society then I would particularly love to meet because I would be keen to see how the activist scene is running in other countries and to share experiences and lessons on that front. Would also be particularly interested in learning from anyone involved in any projects to do with self-sufficiency and community living.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is eclectic, there's something pretty cool in every genre and I don't really rule anything out completely anymore, although I'm really not into chart music and struggle to enjoy it much. Definitely sway slightly more towards blues, swing, jazz, dub, psychedelic rock, grunge, punk, trip hop, old-school surfer sounding music, anything a bit odd with twinkly sounds in it or a weirdly lovely tonedeaf voice :) Usually have a couple of favourites which rotate, at the moment I'm repeat listening to The Growlers, Jamie XX, Ros Sereysothea, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Dub FX, Romare, The Doors, Slaves, John Lee Hooker, Ultimate Spinach (and Elliot Smith has a habit of invading my headphones when I'm in a mood)
Currently reading The Year Of The Flood by Margaret Atwood, about 2/3 of the way through-I love a good dystopia and Margaret Atwood is pretty reliable at that. Just started reading Naked Lunch by William Burroughs but got stuck into re-reading the introduction 4 times because it's so goddamn good, seen the film so expecting it to be an enjoyably odd read. Also read Junkie by William Burroughs which is definitely in my top rated books, along with both Brave New World and Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley whose writing never fails to catch me, a few books by Bret Easton Ellis, George Orwell and Martin Millar.
My favourite directors are David Lynch and Jim Jarmusch, whose films have never failed to impress me or make me feel odd-both things I like to get from a movie. I like strange films, they don't need to have a clear ending, I like those kind of headscrewing films but I'm not really down for unnecessary gore-enough can be achieved in a good film without it. But again there are so many brilliant films that I try to be eclectic, love old school black and white films, animations, thrillers, musicals, whatever :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share
Would love to learn any craft skill and a bit of any other language, always excited for that, or actually anything you would like to teach :) Can help someone learn some English, basic knitting (pretty simple haha), know a few things about wild plants but would love to learn more.
