Overview
About Me
I am a marine biologist and have been living and working in Seychelles since April 2018. I am leaving at the end of March and plan to travel around Mauritius and Japan for a few months.
After studying art and design at university, I went travelling to South Africa where I learnt to SCUBA dive. I had always loved the ocean but learning to dive made me realise that I wanted to change my career path and to work in marine conservation. So I went to Bali, Indonesia to do my PADI Divemaster training, then came back to the UK to complete a Masters degree in Marine Environmental Management. I have since worked in Maldives, Madagascar and Seychelles.
I love traveling and experiencing new cultures and meeting new people. I have friends all over the world and the only sad thing about that is that I'll never see them all at the same time in the same place!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people, to have new amazing experiences, to learn and to have fun.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love Studio Ghibli films and reading all kinds of books. I also like a lot of different music from folk, to jazz to classical, to pop. I can play the saxophone and clarinet (quite well) and the ukulele (quite badly).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I freedived with manta rays nearly everyday for two months in the Maldives. One day I saw nearly 100 of them feeding in the same bay. It was mind blowingly amazing and something I'm sure I will never experience again.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can draw you a picture or play you a song on the ukulele
