Hi! I‘m Ella from Germany. I currently study environmental engineering and resource management in Constance. I love doing outdoor activities and exploring nature. I care a lot about the environment. I love any kind of sport and I am always up for any adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great way to get to know people even from your own city but especially abroad. I think its one of the greatest ways to travel rather then isolating oneself in a hotel room.

Interests

My biggest interest is our beautiful planet earth and ways in how to combat climate change. I love spending time outside enjoying nature. By doing a sport activity but also just by taking a slow stroll around the neighbourhood. I like crafting and gardening. I would love to be able to grow and harvest enough fruit and vegetables to provide for myself and others.

Really anything. I’m not picky at all. For books I usually read the ones I find on the street in free stuff boxes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent my gap year in South Africa doing a voluntary service and I could quote the whole year as an amazing experience but I want to choose one specific one. I was volunteering in a Camphill Community supporting disabled adults in everyday life living on a farm. One of the new calfs needed bottle feeding so I had the opportunity to let one of the residents feed the calf. It was special to see the impact on both the disabled person and the newborn calf.

Teach, Learn, Share

I‘m good with plants. I can share some experiences on keeping these beautiful things alive. I desperately want to learn how to play an instrument. My roommate is helping me to learn how to play the bass these days.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can always give ideas and recipes when it comes to food. And I‘m always a helping hand when it comes to fixing things.
