I am a registered nurse from Nova Scotia, Canada currently working at a sleep away summer camp for children with chronic illnesses/chronic conditions. I am taking three months off this fall to backpack through Europe for the first time! I have never had the opportunity to travel before and I am unbelievably excited to do so.

Although I have never couch surfed or hosted before, I have many friends who have and who have had incredible experiences doing so. Couch surfing seems like a great way to meet locals and become immersed in the culture of a country.

Watching an aortic aneurysm resection (open heart surgery) was probably one of the coolest experiences I have ever had.

I am a very social person and love to listen to people's stories and experiences. I would love to get to know and learn from the people I will be staying with!

Although I am just a beginner myself, I would be more than happy to teach anyone who is interested how to knit. As well, I have a great love of yoga and would be ecstatic to practice with fellow yoga enthusiasts.

I would love to expand my cooking/ baking repertoire and learn some cultural/ traditional dishes (especially if vegetarian).
