CURRENT MISSION
ABOUT ME
After graduating from medical school in Berlin I worked as a doctor (neurology) in the small town of Freiburg, Germany, for 2 years. In April this year I quit my job for a year and embarked on a great trip. First we travelled with our own car to Iran, the Stan-countries, up to Mongolia and returning via Russia. Escaping the German november rain, the next destination is South and Central America.
During the travels I have done so far and on exchanges I have had some of the best times in my life. But for me travelling is also a way of putting my life into perspective and becoming more tolerant of things different than what I am used to.
PHILOSOPHY
In a gray world thinking in black and white never works
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted some people and stayed with people while travelling and it was fun and interesting. When I came to Freiburg for the first time and did not know anyone I met a few nice people via the couchsurfing website.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I love the whole idea of couchsurfing! My best experience was in Iran when amazingly nice people just picked us off the street and invited us in. We got to know the country from a whole different angle thanks to them.
Interests
Reading, music (I play clarinet and saxophone and sing), hiking, obviously travelling and medicine, enjoying the sun on the balcony with a glass of wine and some good friends… stuff like this ;-)
