Overview
About Me
I’ve been living in China for almost 3 years. The first two I spent teaching kids English, I’m now at university studying Chinese language. I’m from London but have lived in Ireland and Yorkshire. I like regular things like travelling, reading, walking/hiking, meeting new people. I like swimming and working out. Music is my joy. I could not live without spicy food and chocolate.
I think an experience is worth more than money so I try to be resourceful, not wasteful and always grateful.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What I really like about couch surfing is when you stay with a host or are hosting somebody you instantly have a new friend. It makes things much more pleasant for the traveller knowing they have the knowledge, support and friendliness of their host.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite shows are nature documentaries like planet earth, blue planet, etc and Louis Theroux productions. But after that I like funny stuff like Chris lily, Flight of the Concords, the Mighty Boosh and some cartoons.
I love to read biographical literature about people that have led extraordinary lives.
My favourite music is bassy stuff like dub, jungle, ragga, but I like my indie, funk and reggae too. I also enjoy a dance to some house music as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Trekking volcanoes in Java - half the adventure was going around the island and craters on the old rental motorbike.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be very happy to do a language exchange with anyone kind enough to host me if they wanted to.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can’t really cook or do cool magic tricks or play the guitar, but I would say I’m a tidy, clean and considerate guest.
