About Me

I am energetic and happy. I love meeting new people. Other people have different experiences and lives, so it's really fascinating to learn from them. I spend most of my time out whether I'm at home or traveling. There is always something to do!

I like sight-seeing but I also like experiencing local treasures. Doing so gives an entirely different feeling and understanding of a city.

I can be chatty or I can be quiet. I can be a little shy at first because I'm trying to understand how to best communicate. I try to be tidy when living with others and respectful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

People need places to stay. Most people are good. Most people are interesting. Most people are worth meeting!

Plus, as a girl who likes to travel solo, I want to make it easier for others like me to do the same.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Electronic, Trip-hop, Rock, Alternative, Rap, Pop!
Movies: my favorite are movies that have whimsical ideas (like Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless Mind) or movies that make me aware of societal issues, like City of God.
Reading: I like knowing some world news by reading the Economist Espresso! I'm reading Creativity, Inc. and it's an inspiration. But I also like fiction generally. I think books translated from French are really, really eloquent!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I never thought I was athletic and I really am not! But last summer I ran 16 miles, and that was cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can explain different ways to model data, but I haven't met too many people fascinated by data. :] I can also describe graduate school. I can also recommend things to do in Los Angeles or San Francisco. Also, I can teach you very basic car maintenance, like how to change a car tire, change engine oil, and check coolant.

Would love to learn what to see or do in another city. Otherwise I am completely okay with being independent and out of your hair.

Want to share the general view that people are good and life can be surprisingly wonderful.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Laughter, eagerness, appreciation. I will run errands or dog walk or babysit if it helps you! If you're up for it, I can treat you to a meal. I like washing dishes and cleaning the floor. I am also happy to take care of the laundry if it can help you. I like to return kindness and will try my best. I tidy up after myself. Oh! I can write you letters, which are kind of nice to receive in the mail. :]
