About Me

I graduated from Southwestern University with a degree in Cultural Anthropology, and love to learn about other people and cultures. I've recently made the switch from working in tech, to pursuing my passion for creating by opening an Etsy store for my crafts and art, as well as working in a cactus and succulent nursery.

I've been to 27 countries and adore convincing people to travel with me :) Exploring and experiencing new places and meeting new people is one of the most exhilarating things a person can do, and I definitely try to take advantage of that!

I have a live in boyfriend and two rescue dogs. I've been trying to get my boyfriend more involved in traveling, so I figure, what better way than through meeting people via Couchsurfing!?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

With a degree in Cultural Anthropology, I am fascinated by other cultures and people, so enjoy when I get the chance to speak with people from around the world. Meeting people from Couchsurfing has been such an amazing way to really and truly get to know people and places around the world, and I love it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Pretty much any horror movie; good, bad, tacky, whatever, I think they are all fun :)

My all time favorite book is "I Am Legend", but I also really like "Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy", "Good Omens", "Tales of a Female Nomad" and "Ishmael". Then again, anything from H.G. Wells, Ray Bradbury and Richard Matheson are good choices.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the best thing I've ever done was when I volunteered in an English language school in New Delhi, India and I met some of the most amazing people ever. Walking into the little building that served as the school and seeing children from 5 or 6 to others my age was truly impacting, and knowing that I was helping was incredible. I'm still waiting for the day the girl I became friends with can finally email me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a font of useless information and can teach any number of random crafts including nalbinding, wire weaving, lucet, embroidery and much more. I am more than willing to teach anyone who would like!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a few signature dishes I can show off, and a number of crazy stories I'm happy to share!
