I want to learn about myself by living in and experiencing other cultures.

ABOUT ME

I have spent nearly my whole life living in New England, in the US. I realized a few years ago that I wanted to see the world, so I started to travel more (Beijing, Geneva, South Africa, and others) and have moved to Israel. I'm excited for my next trip to the Netherlands and Istanbul!

PHILOSOPHY

I read a study on happiness a few years ago. The researchers found no correlation between happiness and money, marital status, even health. The only thing that consistently made people happier was when they had strong personal relationships in their lives. I have found that to be very true in my own life. My friends and family provide support for me, while also pushing me to explore new arenas. I hope to continue to meet new people on my travels who expose me to new traditions and ideas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I always assumed that the Great Wall of China was an overhyped tourist attraction. But when I actually had a chance to hike part of it (one not easily accessible and so quite wild), I was absolutely blown away. It truly is one of the wonders of the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I was a high school teacher for two years because I wanted to teach as well as learn from my students. One of the best experiences of my life. Nothing beats the transfer of knowledge.
