About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to travel the world! Meet great people, eat good food, and see it all.

ABOUT ME

I'm 21, I just completed my junior year of college at VCU. Im an International Studies major focusing on Social Justice with the hopes of one day going to law school to change the world :). I'm incredibly interested in other cultures and and advocate for equality for ALL. I LOVE the environment and I try to make a difference by making green decisions everyday. I love gardening & cooking. Im a vegan and a health nut, I try to live my life in the healthiest way possible since losing my best friend to cancer last summer. I LOVE to travel, especially with friends, and am looking forward to another summer in Europe. I work hard all year long to make my traveling dreams possible over the summer. I'm turned off by materialistic qualities and find beauty in simplicity. I'm agnostic but spiritual. I would consider myself socially liberal and very open-minded. My goal in life is to see everything i can and meet everyone I can and hopefully make an impact along the way!

Due to a very unfortunate situation, I do have 1 negative comment from a fellow CSer. However, every single other CS experience I have had has been ONLY positive and incredibly rewarding (I have made friends and FAMILY along the way)! :) I felt it was only fair to the CS world to be honest about my experience with the CSer and he therefore felt the need to aggressively respond but that's ok, forgive and forget! <3

PHILOSOPHY

Life is what you make it. Wake up every morning with a positive outlook, and enjoy every waking moment because it could be your last. Never take people, and friendships for granted because they are the most important aspect of life. Be a good person, because in the end that is all that matters.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participated in couch-surfing last summer for the first time when I spent 5 weeks back-packing around Spain. I had hopes of traveling through-out Italy as well but due to some budget issues I only spent 2 days in Milano, but they were 2 great days none the less :)
Couch-surfing last summer was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I met people that truly changed my life and the way I look at the world I live in. I not only made friends around the world but gained 2 adopted grandparents, Jane and Brian Kirk. Jane and Brian have granted me with another opportunity to come to Spain this summer so I have decided to couch surf again and see even more of Europe. This year I am sharing this wonderful opportunity with my awesome boyfriend, Michael. I have high hopes that this summer will be another incredible learning experience.
My couch is always open, unless I am traveling or moving, in Richmond, Virginia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Like I said, I couch-surfed last summer for 5 weeks and it was amazing!

Interests

I love staying active and I am VERY passionate about staying healthy. My family and my friends are the most important things in my life. I LOVE to cook, especially when I have someone to share my food with. I am very politically aware and involved and know that I can make a difference in the world around me and hope to do so. I love life and know that I only have one so I plan to make the best of it.
