ABOUT ME

I am a "life hog". I try to suck the marrow out of this amazing gift of life. I love awkward moments- I like to ask those questions that people feel uncomfortable with and i like to discuss those topics. Details about people and place and culture facinate me and my favourite activity is to just BE with people. I hate missing out on things which can cause me to feel disappointed and left-out sometimes. I want to grow and change and experience every day. I dont want to remain stagnant. My biggest fear is to wake up one day and realize I havent really done or seen or loved to my full potenial.

PHILOSOPHY

I live life in the moment but also looking forward to what is better to come, what hidden places, people, moments have I not experienced yet? THat is the most exciting part of life. The unknown and the freedom to choose your own path. THe endless possibility and the idea that the world is my oyster.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I recently joined cs but I plan to get involved as soon as possible. I am building this community so far by discussing cs with friends, and by choosing to provide hospitality to fellow cs as soon as i return home to Canada.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i am just new to cs so i dont have any "official" experience yet BUT i have un-officially stayed on the couches of friends of friends and have always enjoyed the experience of getting to know each other. The gift of random hospitality as well as the priviledge of having someone to show me around/recommend activities and restaurants is priceless.

Interests

I love running and hiking and any outdoor activity including camping. I especially got into hiking this year after living in Mulanje, Malawi Africa where I lived at the base of a spectacular mountain which I climbed a total of 6 times while i was living there. I also love live music and fairly traded, organically grown coffee shops- the best one in Ontario is in Ottawa and is called Bridgehead. I also love reading a good book in the winter by the fire with hot chocolate. Ice skating and pond hockey and cats. I LOVE cats. I love midwifery and autonomy for women in pregnancy and childbirth. Classical violin music mmmm.

I can teach violin! I can also share in outdoor activities and I love to cook together and learn new recipes. I want to learn new languages all of the time.
