About Me
Torn between a desire to improve the world and enjoy it. Can't resist adventures but also compelled to be spiritual, thoughtful, and empathetic. Got to make the most out of life, body and soul. Like that Rainer Maria Rilke guy said, If your daily life seems poor, do not blame it; blame yourself, tell yourself that you are not poet enough to call forth its riches.
If you've never known anyone who is a geologist... well we are a strange but awesome breed. I feel obligated to warn you before you sleep next to my rock collection. Just read the wiki and you'll be fine. http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Geologist
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Before moving to New Jersey, I hosted UGA applicants who want to know more about the university and the famous music and downtown scene in Athens, Georgia, including one young lady from Madagascar. I have hosted a few surfers visiting the NYC metro area since I moved here in August 2012. I look forward to hosting more, hopefully people who are willing to explore NYC with me since I'm fairly new here myself.
I have couchsurfed in Houston, Texas so far and am looking forward to expanding my experience.
Interests
Music and art in all forms, bicycles, motorcycles, tennis, all water sports, working out, dancing, learning and exploring earth (thus I'm a geologist), founding random organizations, philosophizing, questioning the status quo, making old codgers mad, and so forth.

Amazing because it was cool: Night-sailing on a bio-luminescent bay on a Hobie 16 catamaran. Amazing because I did it: Working my way through college (on my own since age 18).
