Overview
About Me
Optimist, arty farty and always in for a party!
Desperately looking for culture to absorb. I study Fine Arts in the beautifull city of Brussels, so of course I have great interest for arts, especially in art of the recent past and modern art. I also make sculptures and Installations myself. My greatest sources of inspiration are at this moment Brancusi, Eva Hesse, Olafur Eliasson, Kjel Varvin, De Stijl and countless others of course. I also have a love hate relationship with the work of Jeff Koons.
I am an animal lover, in particular my own two cats and horse.
I love coffees and cocktails and healthy food.
I also enjoy going to the fitness and dancing, even though I'm not that skilled.
I am trying to live in an ecological way, as good and as bad as I can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In my despair looking for culture, I am convinced that the only way to really get to know the culture of a place, is by getting to know the people who live there. I hope the people I stay with will take time to show me their favorite parts of their city/ country, in addition to the well-known tourist hotspots.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like reading, even though I wouldn't right away identify myself as a bookworm. Right now I am reading the dutch version of The Blazing World by Siri Hustvedt. And I am also willingly drawning in my personal bible: Sculpture Today by Judith Collins.
Unfortunately, I am by far the worst movie viewer ever. I just find it kind of hard to stay focused and intresseted when watching movies. But I'm working on it, because, of course, movies are also part of cultures and a form of art. Movies I do like are for example Desert Flower, La vie d'Adele and American Beauty.
And what about music? I think this link might make make point clear: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yf503ChwxW8 ;-).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too hard to choose between these two: Climbing Mount Etna in Sicily & camping on safari in Kruger Park South Africa.
Teach, Learn, Share
I hope to get to learn awesome people, their culture and the places they live in, in order to get lots of wonderfull experiences and to expand my horizons.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my enthousiasm, my passion for art and of course my infinite gratitude.
