Overview
About Me
I'm an English teacher in Nagoya, Japan. I've lived in Japan for about 3 years (Nagoya 2 years, Osaka 1 year). You can usually find me either watching a cooking show or on my way to the beach. I'm conversational in Japanese (N3) and am trying to brush up on my (very limited) Spanish before visiting Spain!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I couchsurfed 5 years ago in Korea and really enjoyed it. I hope to meet more great people traveling in Europe this summer! I also would like to start hosting at my apartment in Nagoya, and make new friends. Even though Nagoya isn't a major tourist destination here in Japan, it's very conveniently located in the middle of the country and I can recommend a lot of places to visit while here. :)
Interests
I enjoy dancing, studying Japanese, gardening, cooking, and traveling. I'm always down to make new friends!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I told a joke to Rashida Jones once and she laughed.
Teach, Learn, Share
**I will be on holiday in Europe from July 18th-August 20th**
I can teach you a little Japanese, as well as introduce you to my friends and show you a fun time in Nagoya! I work most weekdays, but weekends I'm usually available to meet up or show you around. I can even accompany you on a small day trip to a nearby city if my schedule permits! Just let me know what you want to do in advance.
**I teach English for a living, and therefore will not meet up just to practice English. I have no problem showing you around Nagoya or meeting new friends but please do not contact me solely for the purpose of learning English. I know this sounds a bit harsh but when I receive a message that says "please teach me english!" it sounds very impersonal and I did not join couchsurfing to give free English lessons.
私も日本語の練習をしたいですが、本業が英語講師なので無料でレッスンをする事は出来ません。ですので、英語を習いたいだけの方の連絡はお断りします。**
